Franklinton’s Lady Demons went 1-1 in the Northlake Christmas Tournament and captured a non-tournament game.
The contests took place Dec. 20-22 and Franklinton faced top 10 competition in all three games.
The Lady Demons opened the three games in three days stretch with a 56-40 loss to Northlake Christian School, who entered last week ranked second in the unofficial LHSAA Division III power rankings.
Franklinton rebounded by defeating Jewel Sumner, 37-34, at home on Dec. 21.
Two players tallied in double-figures from Franklinton.
Jewel Sumner entered last week seventh in the unofficial LHSAA Class 3A power rankings.
Miriam Tate led the Lady Demons with 15 points.
Danaria Magee posted 11 points.
Addison Carter posted nine and Kaniya Dillon added two for Franklinton.
The next morning, Franklinton was back at Northlake Christian School for its final game in that tournament and were victorious over South Terrebonne, 31-17.
South Terrebonne began last week as the second-ranked team in the unofficial LHSAA Class 4A power rankings.
Dillon topped Franklinton with 13 points.
Tate and Magee posted six each while Carter had four and Jalyn Bickham added two in the win.
