Lady Jackets earn 2-1 record in games held last week

Mt. Hermon’s Lady Jackets went 2-1 in games that were held last week.
On Monday, the Lady Jackets scored the game-winning basket with 14.5 seconds left to capture a 39-37 victory over St. Scholastica Academy in a road game held Tuesday.
Destiny Lewis scored the game-winning basket after Kalei Hughes drove to the bucket and passed to Lewis for the winning layup.
Hughes led the Lady Jackets with 18 points. Hughes made a trio of 3-pointers.
Destiny Lewis posted 11 points.
Macey Applegate had five points while Sikoya Jackson recorded three and Ansley Knight added two.
On Thursday, Mt. Hermon suffered a 66-34 loss to Independence at home.
Applegate led Mt. Hermon with 11 points.
Lewis had 10 points.
Jackson and Hughes tallied 10 points each while Tullos added one for the Lady Jackets. Hughes made a 3-pointer.
On Friday, the Lady Jackets defeated Pope John Paul II, 47-20, at home.
Nine players tallied points for Mt. Hermon.
Bailey Fortenberry led the Yellow Jackets with 17 points that included two 3-pointers.
Hughes recorded 10 points and she was successful on a pair of threes.
Lewis posted six points while Tullos and Applegate had four each, Knight and Ja’Maria Warren totaled two each and A’muriel Williams and Adrianna Tate added one each.
