Bowling Green School’s Drew Wagner

Bowling Green School’s Drew Wagner is a senior. Wagner is a two-sport athlete, playing basketball and baseball for the Buccaneers.
Wagner is a power forward in basketball and he plays outfield and third base on the diamond.
Wagner was an all-district honorable mention player in both sports last season.
Bowling Green basketball coach Jaron Edwards said Wagner is a great kid and a very bright student.
“A role player on the basketball court. He really does what the coaches tell him to do,” Edwards said. “He’ll go through a brick wall for you. He’s the type of kid that plays really hard at all times. I really enjoy being around him. He’s really grown up since I had him in ninth grade.
“I’ve seen a lot of maturity in him. He’s done a very good job this year, trying to score for us more. The last two years, he hasn’t scored much, but this year, he’s been scoring the ball for us and crashing the boards. He’s worked on his athletic ability. He’s gotten stronger in the post with his work this summer. He’s really helped us a lot this year. I hate he’s a senior. It’s going to hurt when I lose him.”
