Yellow Jackets compete in tourney

Mt. Hermon School’s Yellow Jackets went 0-3 in the Jewel Sumner Tournament that took place last Wednesday through Saturday.
Mt. Hermon lost its first game of the tournament to Northeast, 64-42, on Thursday.
Tevin Williams led the Yellow Jackets with 11 points and he hit one 3-pointer.
Keondre Bunch posted nine points while Jeremy Bickham had seven and Travell Brumfield, Michquel Spears and LaQuarry Alexander all tallied five. Bunch made a pair of 3-pointers while Brumfield, Spears and Alexander all recorded one.
The next game was a 59-43 setback to Jewel Sumner on Friday.
Williams had a big game, going for 28 points. He was successful on four 3-pointers.
Bunch posted five while Alexander had four and Spears, Rashad Oatis and Bickham all recorded two. Alexander was good on a 3-pointer.
The final game was a 53-38 loss to Independence on Saturday.
Williams scored 13 points to lead Mt. Hermon.
Bunch tallied eight points while Spears posted six, Alexander recorded five and Brumfield, Oatis and Bickham all had two. Spears made a pair of 3-pointers and Alexander recorded one.
