Lady Jackets go 1-2 in tournament

Mt. Hermon’s Lady Jackets went 1-2 in the Jewel Sumner Tournament that took place last Wednesday through Saturday.
Mt. Hermon lost to Independence, 65-29, in its opening day of the event.
Kalei Hughes led the Lady Jackets with 18 points and she was successful on a pair of 3-pointers.
Macey Applegate posted six points while Hannah McKee and Sydnei Tullos had two each and Bailey Fortenberry added one.
On Friday, Mt. Hermon suffered a 46-26 loss to Jewel Sumner.
Hughes topped the Lady Jackets with 13 points. She made three 3-pointers.
Sikoya Jackson posted 10 points and she hit two 3-pointers.
Destiny Lewis tallied three points.
Mt. Hermon concluded the tournament with a 40-28 victory over Northeast.
Fortenberry was the Lady Jackets’ leading scorer with 12 points. She made a pair of 3-pointers.
Applegate had 10 points.
Hughes posted seven while Lewis recorded six, Jackson recorded three and Tullos added two in the victory. Hughes made a 3-pointer for Mt. Hermon.
