Mt. Hermon splits 1st 2 games of 2018-19 season

Mt. Hermon’s Yellow Jackets began the season 1-1 in games that took place Tuesday, Oct. 30 and on Friday.
Mt. Hermon used a balanced scoring attack in a 62-14 victory over Lutheran in its season opener that took place at home Tuesday, Oct. 30.
Ten players hit the scoring column for the Yellow Jackets, led by Kee’Yontreh Williams, who posted 12 points. Williams hit a 3-pointer.
Tristan Brumfield posted 11 points, which included a 3-pointer.
Keondre Bunch recorded eight points while Brodie Haley and Jeremy Bickham tallied seven each, Tevin Williams had five, Ike Tate recorded four, Travell Brumfield and LaQuarry Alexander tallied three each and Michquel Spears added two in the victory.
Travell Brumfield, Tristan Brumfield, Alexander and Haley all hit a 3-pointer.
Mt. Hermon’s second game was a 68-49 loss to Family Christian on the road Friday.
Tevin Williams led the Yellow Jackets in points with 24 that included a 3-pointer. Williams posted six rebounds, an assist and five steals.
Bickham and Spears recorded seven points each. Spears hit a three, posted three rebounds, dished out two assists and made a steal. Bickahm had six rebounds.
Bunch posted five points that included a 3-pointer to go with a rebound and a steal.
Travell Brumfield and Tate recorded points each. Brumfield grabbed seven rebounds and posted five assists and a steal. Tate knocked down a 3-pointer, posted six rebounds, a steal and he blocked a shot.
Tristan Brumfield added a point and two steals for Mt. Hermon.
