Ben’s Ford falls to Sylva Bay in final regular season game

Ben’s Ford Christian School lost to Sylva Bay Academy, 41-13, as the Eagles concluded the 2018 regular season at home Friday, Oct. 12 on Senior Night.
Tyler Winstead threw for 115 yards. He also had five tackles.
Alston Moore ran for 65 yards on 13 attempts and a touchdown. He also caught three passes for 15 yards.
Justin Moore had 13 yards on three carries and he ran for a score.
Payton Miller had 17 rushing yards and Isaiah Bolton tallied 16. Defensively, Miller led the team with 11 tackles
Chase Penton made two catches for 45 yards. He also recorded four tackles with one for a loss.
Jarrett Williams tallied two receptions for 32 yards. He also made 10 tackles with a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
Tucker Keating made three catches for 21 yards.
Xavier Adams had a catch for two yards.
Bailey Bullen tallied nine tackles with one for a loss.
Jordan Provost made three stops and blocked an extra point.
Cameron Bullen recorded two tackles and recovered a fumble.
Myron Weary had a pair of tackles, one for loss and he recovered a fumble.
“Sylva Bay is a good football team,” Ben’s Ford Christian School coach Dean King said. “I think at the end of the year, they’ll be ranked No. 3 in AA. They played very well. I thought we did the best we could. We had some opportunities where we could’ve made some bigger plays than we did. Overall, we fought hard and gave a lot of effort this season.”
Ben’s Ford finished the regular season with a 2-7 record overall and 1-2 record in district.
