Ben’s Ford Christian School suffered a 34-0 loss to Wayne Academy in a home game that took place at home Friday.
Tyler Winstead threw for 38 yards.
Jordan Provost topped the receivers with three catches for 22 yards.
Tucker Keating posted a catch for 15 yards and Justin Moore had one reception for 5 yards.
Payton Miller and Jarrett Williams made 18 tackles each to lead the Eagles.
Bailey Bullen was next with 15 stops.
Chase Penton had 14 tackles and a forced fumble.
Isaiah Bolton recorded nine stops.
Isaac Wascom posted six tackles and a fumble recovery.
“Offensively, we never got anything clicking,” Ben’s Ford Christian School coach Dean King said. “We had missed some open routes and we didn’t catch the ball when we were open. Defensively, I thought we played well. There were some situations where we had them in fourth-down situations and we allowed them to convert.
“It should’ve been 12-0 at halftime, but they scored on a fourth-and-21. They also had a blocked punt in the end zone. We had opportunities that killed us. I’m just ready to start this week’s game.”
Ben’s Ford Christian School has a 2-5 record and the Eagles will be back in action Friday against Newton County Academy in a District 3AA contest. Newton is 0-7 this season.
