2nd half key in Buccaneers’ victory over Central Private

Bowling Green School broke a scoreless tie in the third quarter with 21 unanswered points in the second half before allowing a touchdown late in a 21-6 victory over Central Private School on the road Friday.
“We made our adjustments for the second half,” Bowling Green School coach Boomer Nunez said. “It also helps that we have a lot of depth because we’ve worn teams down because we only have one guy going both ways (Cameron Bell).”
Johntae McDowell threw for 220 yards and a touchdown. He also ran for 68 yards and a score.
Larry Dillon tallied 52 yards rushing and a touchdown. He also caught a pair of passes for 14 yards.
Rashaan Duke led the receivers with seven catches for 120 yards and a touchdown.
Cameron Bell caught six passes for 46 yards and he ran for 11 yards.
Cade Knight made three receptions for 40 yards.
Steven Cooper was the Buccaneers’ leading tackler with nine, to go with an interception.
Patrick Richardson made eight stops.
Brayden McGehee and Jackson Dobraska tallied six stops each.
Kengie Gordon made five tackles and he picked off a pass.
Bowling Green is 6-1 this season and will play its homecoming game Friday night against Adams County Christian School. Adams is 6-0 this season.
