Ben’s Ford Christian School’s Preston Lee

Ben’s Ford Christian School senior Preston Lee plays football for the Eagles.
He is a two-way player, competing at right defensive end, and offensively, Lee is right tackle.
Lee played fullback last season and moved to right tackle at the end of the season because of injuries. This year, he has gone from middle linebacker to defensive end.
“This whole year, he’s done his job. He’s done a tremendous job of blocking. He’s done a tremendous job at containing quarterbacks, getting pressure. He’s had tackles in the backfield for us. He’s plugging the holes and he’s done a really good job. He keeps this up, I think he can be an all-district player for us this year. He’s done nothing but just great things for us, starting in the spring, starting in the weight room, he’s increased his strength probably by triple and now you can see the difference. He’s playing a lot better. He feels more comfortable. He’s making more plays and he’s just a kid that is going to have a good senior year. He’s a hard worker and a good football player for us.”

What do you enjoy most about playing your sport? Why?
I just like playing with my friends, making big plays, just hearing the crowd get excited when you do something good. That’s probably what I enjoy the most.

What do you like best about being a student athlete?
Being able to say I play sports because not many people get to do that, so that’s probably just one and just being able to suit up for my friends.

Who has been the most influential person in your school sports career? Why?
Probably coach Dean (King). He’s probably the hardest coach we’ve had. Like, he wants us to get bigger, work harder. Probably the best disciplined coach too, so he’s probably the most influential person.

Who is your favorite athlete? Why?
Probably (New England Patriots wide receiver) Julian Edelman. I just like watching him because he’s an explosive player and he’s fun to watch with the New England Patriots. It’s probably him.

Favorite team?
New England Patriots.

Best thing about living in Washington Parish?
Just about knowing everybody, being small and knowing everybody and the Washington Parish Free Fair. That’s probably my favorite thing.
