Bowling Green School’s Madelyn Burch pitched a gem and Cassidy Spears had a big day at the plate in an 8-1-district victory over Wayne Academy on the road Saturday in softball.
Burch threw a complete game, allowing one unearned run on just a single hit with 15 strikeouts and one walk.
Spears recorded three hits and two RBIs.
Breanna Tobey, Morgan Lusk and Hannah Varnado all had two hits.
Tobey scored two runs and Lusk drove in two runs.
Landry Dupont and Dixie Camaille recorded a hit each.
Dupont scored a run for the Lady Bucs.
Bowling Green played following Tuesday’s press time.
