Bowling Green School senior Cameron Bell
Bowling Green School senior Cameron Bell is a two-sport athlete, playing football and baseball for the Buccaneers. In football, Bell was the quarterback for the last three years, but is playing all over the field this season. In baseball, Bell plays anywhere in the outfield and he pitches a little.
Bell was a first-team all-district player last season and second-team his sophomore year at quarterback.
In baseball, Bell was a second-team all-district player his freshman and junior seasons in the outfield.
“He was ‘the guy’ before we got here and how he handled us bringing in a quarterback and him moving positions just says a lot about his character and how he was raised and how good of a kid he is,” Bowling Green coach Boomer Nunez said. “He took that new position with open arms and worked hard at it to be good at what he’s doing at receiver and safety. He wasn’t able to play defense last year because he was the quarterback and a lot of guys don’t let their quarterbacks play defense, so now we’re able to use him as a dual-threat guy as far as offense and defense, play special teams, so he’s able to use his attributes a little more as an athlete instead of playing quarterback.”
