All 6 football teams in action Friday

Five football games involving Washington Parish, including one with a pair of local teams, are taking place Friday.
Half of the teams are playing inside of Washington Parish and all contests kick off at 7 p.m.
One game features a pair of local teams, as Pine is hosting Varnado.
Pine began the season with a 40-34 come from behind victory over Central Catholic last Thursday.
The Raiders trailed 34-18 after three quarters, but came back with 22 unanswered points for the win.
Logan Temples had a big night, throwing for 276 yards and four touchdowns to go with a rushing score.
Jordan Anderson led the receivers with five catches for 200 yards and two touchdowns.
Markell Cotton caught five passes for 71 yards and two touchdowns.
Pine’s defense sealed the win late in the game when Drake Westmoreland intercepted a pass with 1:08 to go in the game.
Varnado was topped by Albany, 13-6, last week.
The Wildcats trailed 13-0 last week and nearly came back.
Kievs Brooks scored a touchdown in the third quarter to bring the Wildcats within seven.
Albany made a late stop to hold on for the win.
Pine has won three of the last five games in this series and the teams have alternated wins since 2014.
Varnado won last year’s game, 44-14.
One more game takes place in Washington Parish, as Bowling Green hosts Wayne Academy to begin District 4AAA play in MAIS action.
Bowling Green is 3-0 this season after defeating Silliman Institute, 28-19.
Larry Dillon led the team with three touchdowns. Kengie Gordon had one score for the Buccaneers.
Defensively, Denzel Evans, Gordon and Jackson Dobraska were the Buccaneers’ leaders in tackles.
Jace Schexnider made a big pick in the end zone.
Wayne Academy is 2-1 this season. Wayne lost its first game of the season last week, 35-6, to Heritage Christian Academy.
Wayne won last year’s game, 29-14.
Three teams are on the road.
Bogalusa is heading to Chalmette.
The Lumberjacks captured their season opener on Friday with a 23-0 victory over Northlake Christian School.
Josh Taylor threw for 151 yards and ran for 60 yards. He had two touchdowns on the ground.
Chas Smith recorded 76 yards on the ground and a score. He also caught a pass for nine yards.
Tyrese Rousell had 43 yards rushing and recorded a two-point conversion. He also made five catches for 57 yards.
Toby Robinson tallied a catch for 35 yards.
Raheem Roberts and Dre’Toris Mark had 17 yards receiving each. Roberts had two catches and Mark posted one. Jakyris Mclemore made two receptions for 16 yards.
Defensively, the team pitched a shutout and they scored a safety. Bogalusa held Northlake to just 9 yards passing and to 105 yards rushing on 37 attempts.
Charles Taylor made seven tackles, including one for a loss, to go with a sack and a pass defensed.
Keltron Harry had nine stops and Demarcus Spikes made two stops and he intercepted two passes.
Chalmette lost its season opener to St. Charles, 14-7.
Chalmette won last year’s match up against Bogalusa, 51-20.
Franklinton is traveling to Fontainebleau.
The Demons lost a close game to Covington last week, 19-13.
Jasper LaSalle threw for 80 yards, while Duke Bell made three catches for 34 yards.
Shayland Allen had four receptions for 25 yards and Kian Conerly caught one pass for 21 yards.
Mike Martin had a strong day rushing, going for 128 yards on 28 carries and two touchdowns.
Cameron Brock tallied 26 yards on five carries.
Conerly led the defense with seven tackles and an interception.
Grant Thomas tallied six stops and Avant Monnie had a pass defensed.
Fontainebleau suffered a 63-35 loss to Lakeshore on Friday.
The Demons won last year’s game, 26-6.
Ben’s Ford Christian School is headed to Centreville Academy.
The Eagles are 1-2 after falling to Amite School Center, 26-13. Ben’s Ford led 13-6 after three quarters, but allowed 20 unanswered points in the fourth quarter.
Tyler Winstead threw for 135 yards with two touchdowns and ran for 21 more. Jarrett Williams had two catches for 24 yards and a touchdown.
Justin Moore tallied one reception for 22 yards and a touchdown.
Jordan Provost made three catches for 54 yards and Tucker Keating recorded a catch for 40 yards.
Alston Moore finished with 39 rushing yards.
Chase Penton led the defense with 13 tackles and one interception. Williams and Austin Stogner made 10 tackles each.
Myron Weary posted four tackles, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery he returned for 17 yards.
Centreville won last year’s game between the two teams, 38-14.
