Ben’s Ford Christian School’s Eagles will be at home tonight as they take on Amite School Center. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
“This is a big week for us,” Ben’s Ford Christian School coach Dean King said. “This is a game that is going to be a pretty good game for both teams. It’s a game that we need a win to get back on the winning ways. Each game is a big game because of the way we’re sitting in the district.
“I think it’s a game we have a chance of winning. We have to go in and play good football and if we play good football, we have a chance.”
Last week, quarterback Tyler Winstead scored a touchdown on a 1-yard run. The Eagles tallied the two-point conversion when Winstead passed to Jarrett Williams.
King said his offensive line played well.
“I thought they played a pretty good game overall. In the second half, they were gassed, but I thought they did a good job of blocking in the first half,” King said.
Ben’s Ford comes into the week with a 1-1 record and Amite School Center is 0-2.
Both teams are coming off 46-8 losses last week.
The Eagles lost to Bowling Green (2-0) and Amite School Center was defeated by Silliman Institute (2-0).
The winners from those games are playing each other tonight at Silliman Institute.
Ben’s Ford and Amite School Center met last year and Amite School Center won the contest, 36-7.
