Pine High School’s Allison Gunckel
Pine senior Allison Gunckel is a setter for the Lady Raiders’ volleyball team. She has played for Pine over the last five seasons.
This is her third year as a starter.
“Allison has been on the team for five years now,” Pine coach Tammy Voth said. “She started off with us as a seventh grader and she had a good bit of ability. She could bump real well. Her serving was fantastic. Her serving has always been fantastic. That’s who my go-to server is. When I need a couple of points, I’ve always pulled her and she served. But now, she’s made it up, she’s a senior this year and she is actually my starting setter. She’s just been a true asset to the team. She is a child that you love coaching because she is always going to do exactly what you tell her to go and never say anything back. She’s just been a wonderful child to coach and I’m very proud of her.”
