Bowling Green captures District 4AAA contest

Bowling Green School’s Kylee Burris recorded three hits and three RBIs, while Landry Dupont and Morgan Lusk had two hits each that Madelyn Burch backed up with her solid pitching performance in an 11-0 six-inning District 4AAA opener over Columbia Academy at home Tuesday.
Dupont drove in two runs and Lusk drove in one run.
Burch threw all six innings, allowing two hits with 10 strikeouts and three walks.
Burch, Cassidy Spears, Dixie Camaille and KaKa Seal all posted a hit.
Last weekend, Bowling Green went 1-2 in the Silliman Institute Tournament.
The Lady Buccaneers defeated Central Private 10-0, but lost to Parklane Academy, 4-1 and Amite School Center, 2-1.
The win improved Bowling Green’s record to 8-7, at press time.
