Knight tallied two stops and broke up three passes.
The game was scoreless after the first quarter, but Bowling Green posted 34 points in the second quarter to take a 34-0 lead at halftime.
“We came out kind of flat and Park Place got the ball first. They were driving down the field and we had a lightning delay,” Bowling Green coach Boomer Nunez said. “It came at a perfect time because we were able to regroup and get first game jitters out of the way and from there we played the Bowling Green football we’ve been used to the last few weeks. Hard-nosed, smash mouthed football.”
Bowling Green will play its home opener on Friday against Ben’s Ford Christian School. The Eagles defeated New Orleans Home School, 22-12, on Friday.
