Bogalusa’s Lumberjacks went to Fontainebleau and competed against the Bulldogs in a scrimmage held Thursday.
“I thought we came out and competed well. We got a couple of quick scores early,” Bogalusa coach Adam Brumfield said. “Toward the end of the scrimmage, I thought fatigue set in a little bit and that was to Fontainebleau’s advantage. They’ve got more kids than us and coach (Chris) Blocker and his staff do a great job, but that’s something we’ve got to work on in order to be able to play four quarters of football. ”
The teams had series of plays before competing in a 15-minute timed period.
Bogalusa outscored Fontainebleau two touchdowns to one in the series of plays.
Fontainebleau tallied two touchdowns and Bogalusa was unable to tally in the timed part of the scrimmage.
Josh Taylor threw two touchdowns, one each to Raheem Roberts and Tyrese Rousell.
Dejean Zeno recovered a fumble for the Lumberjacks on defense.
Bogalusa plays against Pine in the second game of the Washington Parish Jamboree that takes place Friday at Pine. The first game begins at 6 p.m. and the second contest is about 20 minutes after the first.
