We are just 15 days from the regular season opener, and on Aug. 16, fans will have a chance to see the Demons in a three-team scrimmage at FHS.
“I talked to both of the coaches and they want to work some special teams in, so we’re going to do that,” Franklinton coach Jonathan Barber said. “It’s good to evaluate the special teams. Other than that, we want to be physical and execute. That’s kind of our mantra this year.”
The event features the Demons, Live Oak and Slidell.
A trio of games take place and each contest has a pair of 12-minute quarters.
Things get under way at 5:30 p.m. with the Demons facing Live Oak. They are followed by Live Oak and Slidell. The final game is Franklinton and Slidell.
Franklinton competes in the Washington Parish Jamboree on Aug. 24 against Varnado at 5 p.m. before playing their regular season opener on Aug. 31 at home against Covington with kickoff set for 7 p.m.
