BHS splits final 2 summer games

Bogalusa capped off play in the Lakeshore/Mandeville Summer Basketball League with by splitting games that took place at Lakeshore on Thursday.

Thursday’s opener was a 48-42 loss to Lakeshore.

Quintay Henry led the Lumberjacks with 12 points.

The second game, which was Bogalusa’s final contest, was a 48-43 victory over Fontainebleau.

Three Bogalusa players scored in double-figures, led by Jaylen Brickmore, who posted 13 points.

Chance Turner recorded 11 and Josh Taylor tallied 10 in the win.

“Nice to end summer on a positive note,” Bogalusa coach Randall Ginn said. “We are so far ahead of where we were last summer as to be expected. Time for some individual skills work in July. Our attendance numbers were also high all summer. I am pleased with the direction of our program when we work together.”
