The tournament features 20 teams.
Games take place on a 40-yard field and are 21 minutes long. The first 20 minutes are under a running clock and play stops according to the rules during the final minute.
The scoring system is different than it is during a typical football game.
Offenses are awarded six points per touchdown, one per point after touchdown and two for 2-point conversions. Teams can go four two in overtime. There are no 2-point conversions or overtime in pool play.
Defensively, teams get three points per interception (none for a pick on a PAT) and two for forcing a turnover on downs.
There is also a mercy rule. If a team leads by 21 or more after the first 20 minutes, the final minute has a running clock.
