Franklinton High School lifted the interim tag from Jonathan Barber and has named him its head football coach.
“I’m extremely excited for the opportunity to be the head coach at Franklinton High School,” Barber said. “It’s been a goal of mine since I was a player here. We want to get this program back to competing at championship level. I’m extremely grateful and extremely excited.”
Barber brings 11 years of coaching experience to the position.
He was the defensive backs coach for nine years and has served as the team’s defensive coordinator the last two seasons.
All 11 years of coaching have been with the Demons.
Barber has been the school’s athletic director for the last two years and will continue in that role.
Barber graduated from Franklinton in 2003. He played defensive back for the Demons.
