Franklinton High School’s baseball program is holding a total skills camp this upcoming week from Tuesday, May 29, until Friday, June 1.
“This is a great opportunity to meet future Demon baseball players as well as kids who will be playing at other schools,” Franklinton coach Jeff Tageant said. “It gives current players the chance to be leaders and demonstrate their love for the game.”
The event is for children ages 5-14.
Participants ages 5 through 8 will attend the camp from 9 a.m. to noon while those 9-14 will be attending from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
The fee is $50 for morning campers and $100 for all-day campers.
Franklinton’s coaching staff is conducting the clinic. Many current Demons players, along with past players that are playing collegiately, are going to assist.
Participants are asked to bring baseball pants or shorts, a T-shirt, baseball cap, cleats, glove and sunscreen. In addition, their favorite bats are welcome.
Participants will receive an official camp T-shirt and lunch will be served in the school’s cafeteria.
