Pine’s Cotton takes 8th in Class 2A long jump

BATON ROUGE — Pine’s Markel Cotton competed in the Class 2A state meet that was held at Bernie Moore Stadium on the campus of LSU on Friday.
Cotton took eighth in the long jump after going for a distance of 20 feet, 3.25 inches. Episcopal of Baton Rouge’s Jonah Mayes was the state champion with a jump of 22-8.5.
