Ben’s Ford competes in South State Meet at Silliman

Ben’s Ford Christian School competed in the South State Meet that took place at Silliman Institute last week.
The meet was a qualifier. Field events and the 3,200 meters were Wednesday while the rest of the track events were Saturday.
The top four finishers advanced to the Class AAA Meet, which will place at Jackson Academy and Jackson Preparatory School.
The field events and 3,200 are Friday at Jackson Academy. The rest of the track events are Saturday at Jackson.
Two Ben’s Ford Christian School relay teams finished in the top five and came close to qualifying.
The 4×100 and 4×200 teams were both fifth.
The 4×100 team ran in 50.19 seconds and the 4×200 squad finished in 1 minute, 41 seconds.
Both teams featured Justin Moore, Alston Moore, Gage Tervalon and Seth Burns.
Centreville Academy won both events with times of 45.07 and 1:33.
Centreville Academy was the team competition winner with 119 points, as 11 teams posted points.
Clinton Christian was second with 55 points, followed by Glenbrook School’s 32, Sylva Bay Academy’s 19 and Lamar Christian’s 17.
Ben’s Ford tied Brookhaven Academy for ninth with two points.
Amite School Center and Glenbrook School tied for the female team competition title with 64 points each in a close finish, as Centreville Academy was third with 59 points.
Clinton Christian was fourth with 41 points and Prentiss Christian School capped off the top five with 17 points.
