Pine had two seniors this year in Savannah Kennedy and Morgan Grace.
Pine coach Mary McGinnis praised both players.
“Savannah Kennedy is a wonderful young lady and a great leader for our team,” McGinnis said. “She was a great first baseman for us this year and was one of our leading hitters. Morgan Grace did a great job at third base for us and was a great hitter as well. She showed great leadership this year with her communication on the field.”
Fourth-seeded Mangham advanced to the regional round to play against No. 13 Pickering. Pickering won its game over No. 20 Lake Arthur, 14-2, in five innings.
