Pine tally 2-1 record against Northlake Christian

Pine’s Raiders captured two of the three games they played against Northlake Christian School in the contests held Tuesday and Thursday in District 9-2A play.
Pine scored nine runs in the seventh inning to erase an 8-3 deficit in a 12-8 comeback victory in a road game on Tuesday.
The Raiders recorded 12 hits.
Ethan Knight posted three hits, including a double. Knight drove in two runs and scored two runs.
Kaden Fersch and Coby Sheridan put up two hits each.
Fersch tripled and scored three runs. Sheridan tallied a run and posted an RBI.
Kendall Sheridan, Ian Turner, Luke Fonda, Will Adams and Cory Barber all posted a hit.
Sheridan tripled, drove in three runs and scored a run. Turner and Barber had two RBIs and scored a run each. Fonda tallied a run.
Blaine Polk scored a run and drove a run home. Karson Voth scored a run for the Raiders.
Fonda was the winning pitcher after throwing a shutout inning of relief work, where he allowed one hit with two strikeouts and a walk.
The teams split a doubleheader at home on Thursday.
Pine captured the first game, 6-2.
The Raiders trailed 1-0 after two innings, but scored four runs in the fourth to go up 4-1. Northlake Christian made it 4-2 in the sixth, but Pine countered with two insurance runs in the bottom of the inning for the 6-2 victory.
Winning pitcher Ethan Knight allowed two unearned runs on just one hit with eight strikeouts and seven walks in a complete-game performance. Offensively, Knight doubled and drove in a run.
The Raiders tallied eight hits.
Fersch and Coby Sheridan combined for half of the hits, as each posted two.
Fersch doubled and scored two runs. Sheridan had two RBIs.
Kendall Sheridan, Fonda and Polk all recorded one hit.
Sheridan scored a run and drove one home. Fonda and Polk tallied a run each.
Barber scored a run for Pine in the win.
Pine lost the second game of the doubleheader, 10-1.
Northlake Christian got out to an 8-0 lead after 5-1/2 innings. Pine scored a run in the fifth, but the Wolverines added two more in the sixth.
Kaden Fersch, Knight, Fonda, Coby Sheridan and Turner all had one hit.
Knight posted an RBI and Fersch scored a run.
