Franklinton’s Lady Demons were victorious over Salmen, 15-0, in a District 8-4A contest that lasted three innings and took place at home on Tuesday.
The Lady Demons’ 15 runs came on 13 hits.
Bailey Spears recorded three hits and scored three runs.
Bailey Brooks posted a pair of extra-base hits in a 2-for-2 day. She hit a home run, doubled, drove in three runs and scored three runs.
Kiersten Allen and Sydney Wills had two hits each.
Allen posted three RBIs and two runs scored. Wills doubled twice and put up four RBIs.
Brylie Fowler, Missouri Varnado, Laynea Stafford and Ashlyn Welch all posted a hit.
Fowler drove in two runs and scored a pair of runs. Varnado recorded two runs. Stafford scored a run and drove in three. Welch tallied a run.
Ashlyn Ard recorded a run for the Lady Demons.
Pitcher Aleigha Fussell was perfect over the three innings. Fussell struck out six and only needed 34 pitches to get through the game.
Franklinton jumped out to a 10-0 lead through one inning. The Lady Demons added two more in the second and three in the third for the three-inning win.
This is the second time this season that Franklinton has defeated Salmen, 15-0. The last time was in five innings.
