Local archers solid at meet

Franklinton Junior High School’s Meredith Rogers was victorious in her age group at The Archery Shooters’ Association Pro/Am that took place this weekend in Phenix City, Ala.
Rogers won the top spot in the Girls’ Middle School Pins and posted 404 points.
Bowling Green School students Austin Forbes and Jeremy Bryant competed in the Boys’ Middle School Pins. Forbes posted a seventh-place finish and Bryant was 15th.
Forbes recorded 403 points and Bryant had 367.
The placements are the highest the three have ever had.
This was the second national shoot of the year and the first leg of seven in the overall ranking system, which is done by points in each meet.
The top three scores by the individuals determines their national status.
The next meet takes place Thursday, April 5, through Saturday, April 7, in Paris, Texas.
