Train, car collide on Superior Avenue

- First responders work at the site of a collision between a train and a car on Superior Avenue on Thursday morning. The driver of the vehicle was not badly injured.
A train collided with a car at approximately 9 a.m. Thursday morning on Superior Avenue, at the track intersection with Superior Avenue just west of Austin Street.
The driver of the vehicle, June Lorio of Bogalusa, stated that she was not badly injured in the accident, although she was shaken up. The train remained stopped as first responders worked at the scene Thursday morning.
Traffic on Superior Avenue was temporarily diverted away, in both directions.
