The Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating an attempted burglary and criminal trespass on Old Lake Road in Mt. Hermon.

On Monday, March 5, the suspects arrived at the residence at approximately 7:45 and left about 10 minutes later after making several trips back to their vehicle, according to WPSO Chief Deputy Mike Haley.

Haley said that a surveillance camera captured the images of two men wearing gloves and partial disguises. They were driving a 2002-2006 Toyota Camry painted in Aqua Blue metallic with plastic chrome five-spoke hub caps such as might be purchased at Walmart or Auto Zone, Haley said.

The vehicle’s inspection sticker had a yellow tag indicating it had expired in 2016. Vehicle windows have a light tint and there was no permanent license plate, only a paper plate, Haley said.

Anyone who recognizes either of these individuals is asked to contact Det. Kody Glenn at 985-839-3434, ext. 2054, or email Glenn at kglenn@wpso.la.gov.

“Help us identify these two men so that we can locate them,” Washington Parish Sheriff Randy Seal said. “They were up to no good and it is important to get them out of our community and into our jail.”

Security cameras captured these photos of the suspects’ car.
