Bowling Green splits games against Adams

Bowling Green School went 1-1 against Adams County Christian School in the teams’ matchups held Monday and Tuesday.
The Buccaneers lost Monday’s game, 12-2, in five innings on the road.
Adams broke open a 2-0 contest by scoring seven runs in the third inning.
Bowling Green’s runs came in the fifth to make it 10-2, but Adams posted two more in the fifth to seal the win.
The Buccaneers were limited to just three hits.
Cameron Bell went 2-for-3.
Andy Bienvenu posted one hit and two RBIs.
Denzel Evans and Cade Knight scored the runs for Bowling Green.
Five Bowling Green errors led to seven unearned runs.
The Buccaneers captured Tuesday’s home game against Adams, 5-2.
Harrison Jones and Hunter Wilkinson posted two hits each.
Bell and Evans had one hit each.
Bell scored two runs and drove in one. Evans posted a pair of RBIs.
Grady Ball, Knight and Sammy Phelps tallied a run each for Bowling Green.
Jones was the winning pitcher. He allowed two runs on seven hits with nine strikeouts and five walks over 6-2/3 innings.
Rece Dillon retired the final batter to seal the victory.
