Mt. Hermon comes up short in regionals

Mt. Hermon’s Yellow Jackets came up short to Weston, 67-63, in double overtime in the regional round of the Class B state playoffs on the road Tuesday.
Four players tallied in double figures for the Yellow Jackets.
George Smith led the team with 15 points.
Ike Tate posted 14 points.
Jordan Smith and Tevin Williams put up 11 points each for the Yellow Jackets.
Device Taylor and Za’byeaus Holmes posted six points each for Mt. Hermon.
The 10th-seeded Yellow Jackets finished the 2017-18 season with a 21-9 record.
Seventh seeded Weston is 22-12 and is headed to the quarterfinals to face second-seeded Zwolle, who is 30-9. Zwolle was a 57-52 winner over No. 15 J.S. Clark Leadership Academy in the regional round. Clark finished with a 17-22 record.
