Ben’s Ford Christian School was defeated by Laurel Christian School, 4-1, at home Thursday.
The Eagles had one hit, which was by Payton Miller. Miller also scored the team’s run on an RBI by Brandon Sprehe.
Ernesto Woods pitched five innings and Chase Penton threw the last two.
“I was proud of the way our boys competed,” Ben’s Ford coach Tommy Pittman said. “We faced a good pitcher. We competed against a pretty good pitcher and had a chance. We’ve just got to work on the bats and improve our hitting.”
