Eagles victorious over Newton Academy in South State Tourney

Ben’s Ford Christian School’s Eagles were victorious over Newton Academy, 52-38, in the opening round of the 2018 South AA Basketball Tournament on Tuesday at Glenbrook School.
Tucker Keating and Kameron Underwood tied for the team lead in points, as both players recorded 13. Keating pulled down five rebounds, dished out an assist, made four steals and blocked a shot. Underwood grabbed four boards and made a steal.
Dalton Crain tallied 12 points and a rebound.
Tyler Winstead put up eight points, six rebounds, three assists, a steal and he blocked two shots.
Seth Schilling recorded two points, six rebounds, an assist and a blocked shot.
Gage Tervalon posted two points, two boards, an assist and a steal.
Jarrett Williams had two points and a rebound.
Justin Moore and Isaac Wascom added a rebound each in the victory.
The Eagles advanced to the next round and faced Prairie View Academy in a Thursday game that was not completed before press time.
