The Mt. Hermon boys defeated Runnels 60-43 Thursday night in the District 7B tournament, while the girls fell to Holden by the score of 63-27. Both tournaments were held at Runnels.

Mt. Hermon boys 60, Runnels 43

Jordan Smith scored 16 points and added five assists to lead the Yellow Jackets to a win over host Runnels in the District 7B tournament Thursday evening.

George Smith scored 13 points and had six assists, and Tevin Williams finished with 12 points while Za’byeaus Holmes added 10.

Also scoring for the Yellow Jackets, Device Taylor finished with five points and seven assists, and Lafell Thomas had four points.

Holden girls 63, Mt. Hermon 27

Patera Williams scored 10 points in the Yellow Jackets’ loss to Holden on Thursday evening.

Kaileigh Hughes scored six points, Macey Applegate added four, and Destiny Lewis finished with three. Adriana Tate and Ashiriah Williams added two points each.
