Mt. Hermon victorious over Maurepas in tourney

Mt. Hermon’s Yellow Jackets captured a 61-22 victory over Maurepas in the District 7-B Tournament opener at Runnels on Tuesday.
Three players tallied in double figures for the Yellow Jackets.
Device Taylor posted 18 points.
George Smith had 11.
Lafell Thomas put up 10 for Mt. Hermon.
Tevin Williams recorded eight while Jordan Smith had seven, Malik Dyson tallied three points and Keondre Bunch and Jeremy Bickham added two each for the Yellow Jackets.
Mt. Hermon played Runnels yesterday in the next round of the tournament, but that game was not completed by press time.
