Franklinton Youth Soccer Association signups
The Franklinton Youth Soccer Association scheduled registration for boys and girls ages 3-18 has been completed, but signups are still available.
If you are interested in registering, call or text Crystal Thomas at 985-515-9047 or Theresa Diddon at 985-295-9255 by Sunday Feb. 11 at 6 p.m.
The cost is $55 for ages 3-11 and $65 for 12-18s.
Games are scheduled to start in mid-March, but that is subject to change.
City of Bogalusa Baseball Registration, Skills
The City of Bogalusa is holding baseball registration.
In-person signups are complete, but you can signup online through Saturday, Feb. 17 at http://cityofbogalusa.website.siplay.com.
Terry Wood Memorial King of Hearts Boxing Championship, Offender Art and Crafts Sale
The 2018 Rayburn Correctional Center Louisiana Department of Corrections Terry Wood Memorial King of Hearts Boxing Championship and Offender Art and Crafts Sale takes place Thursday, Feb. 15 at RCC.
Gates open at 4:30 p.m. and close at 7:30 p.m. Matches begin at 6:30 p.m.
The cost is $5 per person, which is payable at the door cash only.
Concessions are also available.
Cameras, cellphones and electronic devices are not permitted.
No outside food or drink is allowed and smoking is not allowed on prison grounds.
Bogalusa Little League Registration
The Bogalusa Little League is holding registration for 2018 baseball season, Saturday, Feb. 17 on Avenue U from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for ages 4-14.
T-ball is ages 4-7. The rest of the age groups are 8s, 9-10s, 11-12s and 13-14s.
The cost is $30 per child, $25 each for a family of two and $20 each for families of three.
Bring your child’s birth certificate to registration.

USM baseball camp
The Southern Miss baseball program is hosting The Kid’s Spring Break camp.
The camp is open to all kids ages 6-13 and the four-day camp will run March 12-15 from 9 a.m. until noon each day. The camp is limited to the first 50 applicants and will cost $180. Each camper receives a complimentary t-shirt and insurance. In addition, each camper will receive a ticket for the March 16 Conference USA contest against UTSA and all will get a chance to be on the field with the Golden Eagles during the national anthem, prior to the 6 p.m., contest.
