Bowling Green School downs Laurel Christian School
Bowling Green’s Lady Buccaneers were victorious over Laurel Christian School, 66-7, in a game that took place Friday at home.
Eleven players for the Lady Bucs were in the scoring column.
Callie Seal led the way with 12 points on 5-of-7 from the floor and 2-for-3 from beyond the arc. Seal grabbed two rebounds, dished out three assists and made two steals.
KaKa Seal recorded nine points on 4-of-6 shooting and she hit her only 3-point attempt. Seal had an assist and five steals.
Cailee Fruge put up eight points and hit four of her five shots. Fruge pulled down four boards to go with an assist and a steal.
Hallie Robertson tallied six points on 2-of-3 shooting that were all 3-pointers. Robertson also had four assists.
Hope Crowe put up six points after hitting 2-of-4 from the floor. Her two made shots were 3-pointers in three attempts from long range. Crowe also had a steal.
Allie McCain posted six points that included a 3-pointer. She had a rebound, two assists and a steal.
Bridget Devall recorded six points on 2-of-4 shooting with two rebounds and a steal.
Hallie Creel had five points, two rebounds and a steal.
Kyley Seals put up four points on 2-of-3 shooting with five rebounds, two assists and four steals.
Hannah Varnado tallied two points, two boards an assist and a steal.
Cassidy Spears had two points and an assist for the Lady Buccaneers.
Anna Beninato grabbed two rebounds and dished out two assists while Anna Claire had a rebound.
For the game, Bowling Green shot 51.9 percent (27-for-52) from the field and made 50 percent (8-of-16) in threes.

Pine falls to Independence
Pine’s Lady Raiders suffered a 40-34 loss to Independence in a District 9-2A game on the road Friday.
Savannah Kennedy topped Pine with nine points.
Raina Crosby posted eight points while Kaylyn Ginn and Kalli Tullier tallied six each, Kiyasha Clark recorded three and Kelsey Jenkins added two for the Lady Raiders. Ginn and Tullier hit a 3-pointer each for Pine.

Bogalusa falls to Jewel Sumner
Bogalusa’s Lady Jacks suffered a 65-50 loss to Jewel Sumner in a District 7-3A contest that took place Friday on the road.
Shaunte Chatmon led Bogalusa with 18 points.
Prayja Bickham posted 13 points that included a 3-pointer.
Quantasia Lewis tallied seven while Chloe Foster recorded six, Shamyra White had four and Bianca Pittman added two. Lewis and Foster hit a 3-pointer each for the Lady Jacks.
