Lumberjacks make 15-point comeback in victory over Albany

Bogalusa rallied from a 15-point deficit to defeat Albany, 75-70, in a District 7-3A road game that took place Tuesday.
The Lumberjacks trailed 47-32 at the break.
Bogalusa coach Randall Ginn said he told his team at halftime that if they didn’t come back in the second half, that their last three games would be “evaluation for next year’s team.”
Ginn said that junior Charles Taylor declared, “I ain’t playing for next year,” and then let his play do the talking.
Taylor nearly had a double-double in the second half alone when he tallied nine points and eight rebounds to go with four steals. Taylor finished with 10 points, nine boards and four steals for the game.
Ginn said that Taylor’s fire and determination inspired his teammates.
Bogalusa forced 17 turnovers in the second half, and for the game, the Lumberjacks outrebounded Albany, 50-22.
Braedtrick Whittine led the team with 15 points, to go with eight rebounds.
DaJuan Powell recorded 12 points, six rebounds and five assists.
Chance Turner had 12 points.
D’Angelo Mark posted 12 points, eight boards and five steals in the victory.
Bogalusa entered Friday’s game with a 3-2 district record.
