Varnado’s Wildcats posted a 1-1 record in their last two games that took place last Wednesday and Friday on the road.
On Wednesday, Varnado came up short to Independence, 64-61, in a non-district game.
Jadarrell Magee scored 17 points that included three 3-pointers.
Armontee Kemp and James Williams posted 13 each. Williams knocked down a pair of threes while Kemp hit one 3-pointer.
Gary Crumedy totaled 11 points that included a 3-pointer.
Ardarryl McGowan had five points and Kim McGowan added two for the Wildcats.
On Friday, the Wildcats were victorious over Ridgewood, 63-17, in District 8-1A play.
Varnado had 11 players in the scoring column.
Kemp led the way with 11 points.
Crumedy and Cameron Allen posted seven while Kim McGowan and JoNathan Green tallied six each, Williams, Ardarryl McGowan, Adrian Bickham and Jacorrius Bickham all had five, Jaheim Hooks posted four and Jeroderick Robinson added three in the victory. Crumedy, Allen, Williams, Ardarryl McGowan, Adrian Bickham, Jacorrius Bickham and Robinson all hit a 3-pointer.
