Lady Raiders fall to 2 solid teams

Pine’s Lady Raiders went 0-2 against a pair of tough teams at home Jan. 19 and on Tuesday in District 9-2A play.
On Friday, Jan. 19, the Lady Raiders suffered a 72-21 loss to Amite.
Savannah Kennedy tallied nine points to lead Pine.
Raina Crosby had five and Alyssa Phelps and McKayla Jordan posted three each. Jordan hit a 3-pointer.
The Lady Raiders were defeated by Northlake Christian School, 56-38, in Tuesday’s game.
Kennedy tallied 10 points.
Crosby recorded nine while Jasmine Crosby and Jordan tallied six each, Kaylyn Ginn posted five and Elizabeth Barber added two. Jasmine Crosby and Jordan made a 3-pointer each for Pine.
Pine entered Friday’s game with a 9-14 record and the Lady Raiders are 26th in the unofficial LHSAA Class 2A power rankings.
Amite is 13-7 while defending Division III state champion Northlake Christian School is 18-1. Amite is 14th in Class 2A while Northlake Christian is No. 1 in Division III.
