Mt. Hermon captures close game over Varnado

Mt. Hermon’s Yellow Jackets defeated Varnado, 48-46, in a contest that took place Friday, Jan. 12, at Mt. Hermon.
Mt. Hermon’s Ike Tate led all scorers with 18 points. Tate knocked down four 3-pointers.
Lafell Thomas tallied 15 and he hit three from beyond the arc.
Tevin Williams posted seven while George Smith had four and Device Taylor and Za’byeaus Holmes put up two points each for Mt. Hermon.
Armontee Kemp topped the Wildcats with 17 points. Kemp drained a pair of 3-pointers.
Gary Crumedy and James Williams posted 10 points each. Crumedy was successful on a pair of 3-pointers.
Jadarryl Mageee tallied six points and Ardarryl McGowan posted three. McGowan hit a 3-pointer for Varnado.
Mt. Hermon’s next contest is a home game against Holden. Varnado is back in action Tuesday when the Wildcats host St. Martin’s Episcopal.
