Pine posts 1-2 record in Hannan Hustle Tourney

Pine’s Raiders went 1-2 in the Hannan Hustle Tournament that took place last Thursday through Saturday at Archbishop Hannan High School.
Pine lost the opener to Archbishop Hannan, 72-30, last Thursday.
Chance Woodward topped the Raiders with 11 points that included a pair of 3-pointers.
Jordan Anderson recorded eight points while Markell Cotton and Koby Miller recorded three each, Bryson Knight and Larry Williams tallied two each and Christian Bravo added one for Pine. Miller hit a 3-pointer.
Pine lost to Pearl River the following day, 51-43.
Anderson scored 16 points to lead the Raiders.
Kaz Warren posted 12 points and he knocked down a pair of 3-pointers.
Cotton recorded eight points while Xavier Elzie had four, Woodward put up two and Chase Cooper added one for the Raiders.
Pine capped off play in the Hannan Tournament by defeating French Settlement, 43-34.
Warren was the Raiders’ leading scorer, going for 15 points. He was successful on a 3-pointer.
Anderson was also in double figures, as he posted 10 points.
Karson Voth tallied six points while Woodward and Elzie had five each and Cotton added two. Woodward knocked down a 3-pointer for the Raiders.
On Tuesday, the Raiders began District 9-2A play and suffered a 72-43 loss to Amite on the road.
Cotton scored eight points to lead the Raiders.
Anderson posted seven points while Warren, Woodward, Elzie and Williams all recorded six points and Eric Crosby and Knight added two each. Warren and Woodward hit a pair of 3-pointers each, while Anderson knocked down one shot from beyond the arc for the Raiders.
