Ben’s Ford split games in Amite School Center Tournament

Ben’s Ford Christian School’s Eagles split their two games in the 2017 Amite School Center New Year’s Shootout that took place Thursday and Friday.
Ben’s Ford lost its first tournament game, 54-36, to Silliman Institute.
Dalton Crain led the team in scoring with 13 points and he grabbed two rebounds.
Tyler Winstead nearly put up a double-double. Winstead had an 11-point, eight-rebound night to go with three steals, and he blocked four shots.
Seth Burns tallied six points, five boards and he made a steal.
Tucker Keating posted two points, three boards, an assist and two steals.
Isaac Wascom had two points and a pair of assists.
Chase Penton logged two points, a rebound and a steal.
Seth Burns pulled down a rebound, made a steal and blocked a shot while Gage Tervalon dished out an assist and made a steal, Alston Moore grabbed a rebound and had an assist and Justin Moore added a rebound for the Eagles.
Ben’s Ford came back from the loss in a big way, defeating Porter’s Chapel, 50-16.
Crain again topped the team in scoring as he went for 17 points. Crain also had a rebound, two assists and a steal.
Jarvis Dawson posted a double-double with 16 points and 12 boards. He also blocked a shot.
Wascom recorded seven points, a board, two assists, a steal and a blocked shot.
Winstead scored four points, pulled down eight rebounds, dished out two assists, made a steal and blocked two shots.
Keating had two points, three boards, two assists and three steals.
Burns put up two points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals.
Justin Moore tallied two points, three rebounds and a steal.
Seth Schilling grabbed eight rebounds and blocked a shot while Alston Moore had a rebound, a steal and a blocked shot, Chase Penton made a steal and blocked a shot and John Robert Holston added a rebound in the victory for the Eagles.
Ben’s Ford will be back in action Friday when the Eagles travel to Lamar Christian School.
