Mt. Hermon finishes play in Jewel Sumner Tourney

Mt. Hermon’s Yellow Jackets went 1-2 in the Jewel Sumner Basketball Tournament that was held from last Wednesday through Saturday.
Mt. Hermon began play Thursday with a win over Northeast, but suffered losses to Jewel Sumner and Independence on Friday and Saturday.
On Friday, the Yellow Jackets lost to Jewel Sumner, 39-28.
Ike Tate led Mt. Hermon with 14 points and he pulled down five rebounds.
George Smith tallied six points while Za’Byeaus Holmes recorded four points, Jordan Smith had three and Device Taylor added one.
The following day was a 58-40 loss to Independence.
Tate and Tevin Williams tied for the team lead, as both recorded 12 points each.
Smith posted 10 points.
Taylor had four points and Holmes put up two for the Yellow Jackets.
