Franklinton hosting basketball tournament beginning today

Franklinton is hosting a girls and boys basketball tournament today through Saturday.
Game times today and tomorrow are at 4:30 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Today’s games all involve just girls teams.
The opener is Pine and Slidell. Bogalusa and Kentwood follow with Franklinton and Varnado wrapping things up.
Tomorrow, the boys teams take the court.
Pine and Bogalusa get the day started, with Varnado and Lakeshore following and Franklinton and Mandeville wrapping up the day.
The tournament gets going again Friday at 3:40 p.m. when the Pine and Lakeshore boys go against each other.
The second game is between Varnado and Mandeville in a boys game.
The two contests after are girls games. At 6 p.m., Varnado plays Pine, and Franklinton and Bogalusa follow at 7:10 p.m.
The 8:20 p.m. game, which is the final one of the night, will include the Franklinton and Bogalusa boys.
The event tips off at 10:30 a.m. Saturday for the final day of the annual tournament, with six games set.
Bogalusa and Slidell girls play in the opener, with the Mandeville and Lakeshore boys scheduled for noon.
At 1:30 p.m., the Varnado and Slidell girls take the court, followed by the Bogalusa and Varnado boys going against each other at 3 p.m.
The 4:30 p.m. contest will feature the Franklinton and Pine girls, and the Franklinton and Pine boys will cap off the tournament at 6 p.m.
