Mt. Hermon begins season 2-1

Mt Hermon’s Yellow Jackets are off to a 2-1 record to begin the 2017-18 basketball season.
The year began with a pair of victories over Lutheran.
The first game was a 67-39 road win on Halloween.
Za’Byeaus Holmes led the Yellow Jackets with 17 points, as Mt. Hermon placed four players in double figures.
Device Taylor and Ike Tate posted 13 each while Tevin Williams recorded 10.
George Smith put up seven, with Jordan Smith at five and Malik Dyson adding two.
Mt. Hermon won the following game, 65-38, at home Friday.
Smith scored 21 points and dished out five assists.
Tate had 14 points and five rebounds.
Jordan Smith put up eight points and five assists while Taylor posted five points and five boards.
Williams had seven points while Holmes tallied six and Keondre Bunch and Dyson added two each.
Mt. Hermon lost its first game of the season on Monday at Grand Isle, 46-39.
Taylor led the Yellow Jackets with 12 points.
Holmes and Williams posted nine each while Tate recorded six and George Smith added three.
