Dauterive, Hodges overall winners at fair 5K run/walk

Paul Dauterive and Abby Hodges were the overall male and female winners of the Washington Parish Free Fair 5K race that took place last Saturday at the fairgrounds.
Dauterive ran the event in 17 minutes, 38 seconds. Hodges had a time of 23:10.
Race Director Kelly Ballard said the race was a huge success.
“We had a lot of compliments on the long-sleeve tech T-shirts and everyone, including raceday registration participants, received a shirt,” Ballard said.
The 5K run/walk featured 110 participants.
Dave Dessauer was the Masters Male winner while Samatha Descant was the Masters Female winner. The Masters group are participants who are 40-older.
Richard Kellar is the overall male walker champion while Sally Porter was the overall female champion for the walkers.

Female 30-39: 1. Kal Roshto; 2. Layla Becker
Male 40-49: 1. Jason Smith; 2. Ford Stinson
Female 40-49: 1. Jackie Junkins; 2. Susan Temples
Male 50-59: 1. Ed Lee; 2. Greg Givens
Female 50-59; 1. Nancy Gill; 2. Linda Kellar
Male 60-over: 1. Tom Minarik
