It’s scrimmage week for teams in the Louisiana High School Athletic Association.
Locally, Bogalusa, Franklinton, Pine and Varnado are competing in scrimmages this week, which will give coaches another chance to evaluate their teams and it’s an opportunity for fans to see their teams in action.
The Washington Parish teams are playing Thursday and Friday. Bogalusa is the only team playing at home.
In Thursday’s action, Franklinton travels to Live Oak to scrimmage Live Oak and Slidell with game time set for 6 p.m. Varnado takes to the road to face Independence at 6 p.m.
On Friday, Bogalusa is hosting Bonnabel at 5:30 p.m. Pine is going to Jewel Sumner and the competition gets under way at 6 p.m.
In 13 days, it will be jamboree week and all four teams will be in action at the same place.
The Washington Parish Jamboree is taking place at Franklinton.
Bogalusa and Varnado will face each other in the first game that takes place at 6:30 p.m. Franklinton and Pine follow.
The games are a 15-minute quarter.
